What does Bruce wonder about missionary work when he stays with the Indians after Dr. Christian leaves?

Bruce wonders if missionary work is meant to convert people to North American culture as well as teaching them about Jesus. In Biblical times there was no North American culture. Bruce wonders if the missionaries are making a mistake having the Indians dress in western clothes and sing western songs. He wonders if there are other ways to worship Jesus.
