What takes place in Night?

The narrator says that the brown girls sneak out of their homes to attend wild parties where everyone gets drunk. The brown girls naively think that their beauty is their power. When boys show them attention, some girls pull away while others do not. The girls do not worry about what will happen when they get caught, because they believe their parents are too busy working or too tired from long days of work to notice.
