Why doesn't Dr. Azad ever mention his family?
Dr. Azad never mentions his family, his wife and daughter, because he is ashamed of their behavior. Nazneen and Chanu, his wife and daughter, do not dress according to Bengali tradition, and they both drink alcohol. This causes Azad great shame.
