Who is O.J. Berman from Breakfast at Tiffany's and what is their importance?

Berman is an theatrical agent. He discovers Holly when she's a teenager, tutors her in French to eliminate her accent, and books her for an audition with the great Cecil B. DeMille. Unfortunately, Holly runs out on him before the audition. The two remain friends, however, and Berman later visits Holly in New York.
