The story is told from Vicki;s point of viewso the language reflects her higher level of education. Although it is obvious that she is well educated and some of the words in the story may not be readily known, the language is still informal and easily understood. Any words or things mentioned that the reader does not immediately recognize are made clear when taken into context.
