Describe symbolism in Body and Soul by Frank Conroy?

One major symbol in the novel is Mr. Weisfeld's music store. For Claude, the store represents a safe haven..... a happy place. Later, after Mr. Weisfeld's death, the store comes to represent Weisfeld himself..... and the knowlege that he still lives on within Claude's heart.
