When Samuel is describing the gifts King James sent for Chief Powhatan, why does he describe the crown as troublesome?

The crown is troublesome because the company sent orders that Powhatan should be crowned as an English prince, thus making his people English subjects. Samuel is aware of the problem this will cause, as contrary to what the English are trying to do, Powhatan believes that Jamestown is under his rule.... not England's.
