The kiss is a symbol of desire and acceptance. Norma Jeane notes that in the majority of the movies she has watched, there are three central components: a Fair Princess, a Dark Prince, and a Kiss. She notes this kiss comes when the Fair Princess and Dark Prince finally meet and declare their love for one another.
