Who is Alafair from Black Cherry Blues and what is their importance?

Alafair is Dave's six-year-old daughter. Born in South Africa, Dave and Anne found Alafair after the plane she was traveling on with her mother crashed. Anne and Dave then adopted her and brought her home to the states.
