Billy Budd How does Herman Melville use imagery in Billy Budd? Asked by bookragstutor on 20 Aug 03:48 Last updated by Cat on 16 May 03:43
There is a lot of sea imagery in this novel. The British navel ship, the Bellipotent, is the primary setting. There is also war imagery on the high seas. With sea and war imagery comes high water, explosion, and sea related scenes.
