The minstrel sings a song about the Danish princess, Hildeburh. Hildeburh was given in marriage to the King of the Frisians, in order to settle an ongoing feud. The King went back on the bargain and attacked her brother when he came to visit. The story end with an attack by the Danes, and Hildeburh's return to her family.
