When Christine finds her journal on this morning, it is a crushing blow to learn of the death of her only child again. Christine feels overwhelmed, so she goes for a walk. At the park she meets a little boy whom she imagines must be like her Adam had been. Christine lingers in the park, reluctant to go home. Finally, however, she goes home and finds Ben anxious.
