What story does Miss Franny tell Opal about her great-grandfather?

Miss Franny tells Opal that when her great-grandfather, Littmus, was 14 he enlisted in the Civil war leaving his family behind. He hated the war and was very miserable the whole time. When he was finally home, he found that his home had burned down down and and all of his family was dead.
