The Count is fascinated and impressed with Cosimo's ability to move and function in the trees, and in spite of the Baron's falling all over himself to explain that it is just the play of children, insists that the boy be allowed to stay up there, and enjoys him very much. He even promises to tell the story of the boy in the trees at court.
