What are some reasons for why Lot's wife looked back?

The Bible doesn't say why Lot's wife looked back and Higgs gives several explanations. Maybe Lot's wife missed the warning or she was curious about what was happening. She may have longed for her material possessions or she may have been clinging to the past. Whatever the reason, she was killed for looking back.
