How does Lottie react when the officers first arrive?

Two officers come to evacuate Lottie and her family. She tries to convince them that she doesn't need to go, but they demand that she come. She tells her family to pack suitcases, and when the time comes, she again tries to stay. The officers tell her that she has to leave, so Lottie finally gets in.
