Who is Alfrida Ordgar and later Queen Alfrida from Avalon?

Alfrida is King Edgar's second wife and Ethelred's mother. She is beautiful, manipulative, cunning, and only interested in herself. Alfrida will do anything to see her son on the throne, including murdering her step-son.
