An incident is described that took place in September 1943. Hannah Gluck and other women were sitting in the back of a truck. No vehicles accompanied the truck. There were just a driver, a guard, an officer up front, and two officers in the back. More women were picked up. Then the truck stopped, and Hannah stood up. Other women followed suit. The guards tried to get them to sit. A woman asked where the women were being taken, and she was hit and moved aside. Hannah walked through the truck and was the first to get off.
