On pages 167-172, what does a caregiver tell Elisabeth about Daniel?

A caregiver asks Elisabeth about Daniel and what he did for a living. Elisabeth does not know much except that he wrote songs. Then the caregiver tells Elisabeth that Daniel told her how in the war he was interned. Daniel was English, but he went with his German father to try to get his sister to England.
