In pages 41-42, what does a care assistant tell Elisabeth about Daniel?

A care assistant comes into the room when Elisabeth is sitting with Daniel. She says that Daniel is a very polite gentleman, and they miss him now that he sleeps all the time. She tells Elisabeth that one day when she was giving him a wash, his door was open, and the TV could be heard from lounge. A song could be heard. He opened his eyes, sat straight up in the bed, and he told the care assistant that he wrote that song.
