Who is George Gaynor from At Home in Mitford?

George Gaynor is a thief, who takes sanctuary in the church. While hiding in Lord's Chapel, George is transformed by Father Tim's guidance without ever speaking to him.... George simply listens. Over the course of the novel, he makes himself known during a church service, sharing his story, and moving the hearts of those present in the congregation.
