How does Asterix gain entrance into the Compendium?

Asterix convinces the cart seller to convey him to Compendium. The cart seller is puzzled when Asterix hides in the hay, but cheerfully agrees when Asterix tells him that he plans to play a practical joke on his Roman friends.
