Who is Judy Palmer from Ask the Dust?

Judy Palmer is fourteen years old, and the only person in the hotel who has read Arturo's, The Little Dog Laughed. In turn, Arturo is thrilled to have a fan and practically begs her to read him the story. Judy's mother finds it inappropriate, and she immediately checks them out of the hotel.
