Why does Corin suggest that he and the girls should go watch Silvius and Phebe?

Corin tells the girls who Silvius loves Phebe, but she does not return his affection. Silvius is not deterred, however, so Corin suggests that they watch Silvius in his foolish attempts to win Phebe over.
