What kind of a character is Angeline Fowl?

Angeline is obviously traumatized by her husband's disappearance. She is bedridden due to nervous tension which she takes pills for. She loathes the sunlight and cannot sleep if the curtain is open even a little bit. She is doing nothing to raise her young son, so she believes him when he tells her that he has been on a skiing trip which also shows that she is not making decisions concerning Artemis.
