What is the encounter like between Root and Artemis in Fowl Manor?

Artemis puts on his "best sinister face" and takes deep breaths before encountering Root. Root stands with his palms up to show that he has no weapon. Both are civil for a moment. Root tries to trick Artemis right away which causes Artemis to be blunt which causes Root to get angry. Then Artemis tells Root that one should not get angry while negotiating. This comment from a twelve-year-old infuriates Root, but he calms himself before speaking again.
