How and why does Holly save the Mud People?

Holly sees Juliet as an innocent by-stander. To her, Juliet is just a servant to Artemis and so is only doing what she is told to do. Holly does not feel that Juliet needs to die for this, so she attacks the troll. The attack is just as hard as Holly thought it would be though and so Holly gets herself into trouble. Though Holly believes herself to be crazy for getting involved in saving a human, she is glad that Juliet is safe, for the moment.
