Who is Amadeus Arkham from Arkham Asylum?

Amadeus is the founder of Arkham Asylum. Like his patients, Arkham is an extremely disturbed man. Amadeus founds the asylum as a place of healing for those living in darkness..... he never plans on it becoming a prison.
