Antigone follows her own laws..... the things she deems to be right or wrong. Ismene follows the law of men. Antigone's actions reveal her strength of character..... she adheres to her belief in divine principle. In contrast, Ismeme's actions reveal her subserviency, as well as her knowledge and acceptance of her role as a woman.
