The British face consequences for not heeding Walter's advice. Despite being attached to the headquarters staff as a local expert, no one takes Walter's advice. During the next British offensive, a colonel goes along with Walter. When they near the top of a hill, the colonel ignores Walter's warning to remain behind cover, and the colonel is killed.
