The novel's main setting is Lara Jean's family home in the suburbs of Charlottesville, Virginia. Her house is very cozy and is always full of delicious foods to snack on. Upstairs are three bedrooms that belong to her and her sisters. Lara Jean and Margot decorated most of the house themselves, along with their mother, who passed away when Lara Jean was ten. Lara Jean has always lived in this house, and she cannot imagine living anywhere else. When Trina moves into the house, she brings many of her things, and the house starts to feel cramped to Margot, but Lara Jean and Kitty love the way she fills the place with her presence.
