Where does James meet Win in the novel, Almost Paradise?

James meets Win while attending her debutante party. He is a law school student at Harvard and is quite ambitious, but it seems he falls for Win because of love. Later, however, when James falls in love with another woman and plots to divorce Win, it seems that perhaps Win's father was right, that James only wanted Win's money and her name.
