What qualities allow Yunjae to trust Dr. Shim in the novel, Almond?

While nearly everyone in Yunjae's life judges him for his condition, Dr. Shim does not. He sees Yunjae for who he truly is, and listens to him with compassion and grace. Dr. Shim's refusal to shame Yunjae allows Yunjae to trust him, and to ultimately learn how to accept himself.
