How do Gon and Yunjae become friends in the novel, Almond?

When Gon starts at Yunjae's school, he immediately targets Yunjae. After bullying him for weeks, Gon soon realizes that he will not be able to get the response he wants from Yunjae. His irritation with Yunjae eventually evolves into curiosity, and he begins visiting Yunjae at the bookstore. He rents erotica from Yunjae, and interrogates him about his brain condition. Though he is disturbed by Yunjae's inability to feel, Gon is also jealous. He wants to be tough more than anything. Despite this desire, Yunjae knows that Gon feels more deeply than most people. As their relationship develops, Yunjae gradually realizes that Gon is his friend, and that he is able to understand him more than others.
