Who is Kim and what happens to him?

Kim is a beautiful Golden Retriever who is run over by a car. His leg is attached by only a thread of skin. His owners happen to be passing through Hensfield and bring him to James. James plasters his leg and it heals miraculously. His owners stay in Hensfield till he's healed.
