Reagan Airport is in Washington DC. Jamie and Andrew travel here because of rumors that some foreign countries may be sending aid. They meet a young man named Chris who is staying in one of the planes with his younger siblings. Chris reveals that a government intern – possibly the last living member of the United States government – brought official documents that prove other countries were in the same situation and could not offer aid. This information is more important than the actual setting. The description of the airport indicates that there are lots of planes on the runways and the fences have been cut.
