Who is Chan Kai Kit from All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten and what is their importance?

Chan Kai Kit was one of Fulghum's inspirations. He was a Chinese, shipping clerk, who challenged the computing skills of an actual computer to his abilty to compute using an abacus. Though the computer won, Kit's answers were also correct.
