One of the largest bones of contention with Fulghum is altering the landscape of the region. Many believe that lawns should be sculpted; leaves should be raked, and snow shoveled. The author heartily disagrees, saying that Mother Nature creates these things for a reason and he, as a mere man, has no right to mess with them.
