Why is Einstein sometimes called the Newton of the twentieth century?

Einstein challenges Newton's ideas on gravity and light. No other scientist has ever added anything to Newton's theory, and so the theory of gravity is thought to be law. Einstein improves and expands Newton's ideas based on new scientific knowledge and capability; in short, Einstein updates Newton to the twentieth century.
