Why does Einstein not enjoy giving interviews?

Einstein seems to believe that he is not interesting, and finds it curious that people want to know more about him. He also mentions that if he gives one, he is obliged to give hundreds and then has no time for his work. We can surmise from this statement that he is far more interested in his work than in the fame it brings him.
