Einstein is growing more and more concerned about the dangerous levels of fanatic nationalism sweeping through Europe; he tells one reporter that it is a "sickness". Since they share a common quest for knowledge, Einstein feels that scientists should cooperate regardless of nationality and that the scientific community can do much to bring about what he calls "inter-nationalism".
