Einstein is wary of being misquoted, and so he chooses his words very carefully. Though he is never particularly interested in politics, he notices what is changing in Germany and is nervous about it. In the end, he says only that he does not enjoy knowing Hitler, and that in his opinion, the man is taking advantage of Germany at a weak moment; Einstein also mentions that he feels sure Hitler is irrelevant as soon as the economic conditions in Germany improve.
