Where did Benjamin Malloy first see the strange creatures he calls "Cloud Cats" in the novel, Airborn?

On his very last journey, Malloy discovered an island located at 171'43"W, 2'21"N. The tropical island is desibed as having a cone shaped and a green lagoon, behind which a crescent shaped beach. This island is where Malloy first sees the strange creatures referred to as "Cloud Cats".
