Babalú Ayé is angry because Teresa has summoned him last. In his anger, he says bad things about Teresa and doesn' t like her cat because Babalú's body is covered in wounds and the cat's tongue is too rough to lick him. He accuses Teresa of using her race to get into top colleges and into top law firms. When he gets angry with Teresa, he spills sesame seeds on the kitchen floor, so that she will get gangrene. Babalú is one of the gods responsible for pushing Teresa's cat out of the window.
