Mrs. Prior from Affinity is Ms. Prior's mother. She is what all women of that era were supposed to be, and accordingly is infinitely interested in making suitable matches for her daughters. She intensely warns Ms. Prior that continuing to meet with Selina will end badly. In the end, her other daughter's wedding and the settling of an estate makes her leave Ms. Prior to fend for herself for a bit and this is when Selina takes advantage of Ms. Prior.
