What metaphors are used in A Time to Kill by John Grisham?

The war of racism is a metaphor in this book. The most common problem in the novel is certainly racism. In Grisham’s novel, racism is a real war, which has two fronts – the first front is the black population and the second is the light-skinned people. Two races fight for rights and do not give rest to each other. This war destroys humanity and has terrible consequences. However, how to end this battle? Everyone should realize only one thing – all people are equal in rights and have the same desires and needs.
