What does the reader learn in the dialogue between Carl Lee Hailey and Jake Brigance in Chapter 4?

The reader learns that Carl Lee Hailey, father of the victim, Tonya Hailey, will most likely retaliate by shooting the perpetrators. Further, we learn that Jake Brigance has gotten Lester Hailey, Carl Lee's brother, and two other black residents off when charged with murder. When asked what he would do if his daughter were the victim, he admits he would kill those responsible, but indicates to Carl Lee he would not get a fair trial in Ford County. Nevertheless, Carl Lee is confident Jake can get him off.
