What does Jake when the National Guard arrive?

Jake is awakened early on Sunday morning when the National Guard are setting up around the courthouse. He dismisses Nesbit for the day and practices his jury cards as well as calls Carla. Later, he drinks with Ellen and Harry Rex, sings, yells at the soldiers, and practices more on the jury cards before quitting around midnight.
