In Chapter 14, what does Madame Weatherberry tell Brystal about Horence's life story?

In Chapter 14, Madame Weatherberry tells Brystal that Horence was killed years earlier when his soldiers discovered he was having a secret affair with a witch. The soldiers burned Horence at the stake and forced the witch to watch. Later, the witch brought Horence back to life but he was a shadow of his former living self, and the witch died in the process.
