Bran Stark from A Storm of Swords is one of the younger sons of Ned and Catelyn Stark. In earlier novels, he loved to climb the high towers in Winterfell. One day he is climbing and inadvertantly catches Jaime and Cersei Lannister in a compromising situation. Jaime tries to kill Bran by pushing him off of the ledge. But Bran does not die, but is crippled. He has no memory of the incident. He has lucid dreams of being a wolf and of a three eyed crow. Now that Winterfell has been burned and he and his brother are in exile with Jojen, Meera, Osha, and Hodor, he wants to find the three eyed crow to find out more about the mysterious powers that he has begun to experience.
